How do I talk kindly to myself?
The way you speak to yourself and how that creates your mental inner world is a huge part of my work with my clients.
Just last night I was talking to a client about self-love, and how self love isn't allowing ourselves to feel good because about how good we look that day, how amazing we acted or how accomplished we were;
It’s about developing a voice within you that speaks to yourself kindly, compassionately and is fiercely protective of your head and heart space.
The self-love voice speaks to you as if you were best friends; It forgives you when you make a mistake, it understands when you didn't complete your tasks for the day, and it has no interest in loving or hating you that day based on how you think you look in the mirror.
Self-love is a commitment to being there for yourself in the long term, day in day out, creating your mental space a welcoming and supportive place to be.
Self-love is not what you feel on your best day, it is the support and encouragement you give yourself on your worst day.
