Gabriella de Mori & Co Counselling is a thriving small private practice based in Fremantle and Cottesloe, with six years of dedicated service.

Our practice is characterised by its unique personality, soul, and commitment to a compassionate, non-clinical approach. 

We prioritise going above and beyond to ensure our clients feel valued and supported, embracing a holistic therapy ethos that integrates both body and mind approaches.

We are well known for our couples counselling, EMDR and holistic approach to working with clients long-term.

As we expand with the opening of our second branch in Cottesloe, we are seeking a sensational and committed therapist t to join our team.

The position offers 1-3 days per week at either our Fremantle or Cottesloe locations and the successful practitioner will be providing exceptional individual and/or couples counselling to our clientele.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold 2+ years of counselling experience.

  • Expertise in IFS, EMDR, parts-work, or somatic experiencing/mindfulness preferred.

  • Be a registered counsellor or psychotherapist (Level 2+), registered psychologist or mental health social worker.

  • Be skilled in building genuine rapport and relationships with clients and let their personality shine.

  • Embrace a flexible, collaborative team approach within our bespoke private practice as it grows.

  • Show enthusiasm and proactive efforts to enhance and market their profile as a private practice practitioner.

  • Recognise that private practice requires additional marketing, business and networking efforts.

  • Couples counselling skills are highly desirable.

  • After-hours/ Saturday availability is highly desirable.

The successful couples counsellor candidate will:

  • Hold 1+ year of couples counselling experience

  • The emotion-Focused therapeutic (EFT) approach is highly desirable, or willing to learn.

  • LGBT+ Friendly

  • Have experience with couples through a wide range of presentations, such as:

    • Parenting, family and domestic challenges

    • Communication Challenges

    • Loss of connection, intimacy and romantic spark

    • Unmet needs/emotional disconnection

    • Sexual/intimacy challenges are highly desirable, although not essential.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding, evidence-based therapy with strong formulation skills.

  • Provide long-term support to clients in private practice.

  • Demonstrate thoughtful client care extending beyond sessions.

  • Engage in activities to raise professional profile and contribute to marketing efforts.
