I’m a registered counsellor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Counselling and over 5 years of supporting couples, men and women in through life and relationship challenges.
My style of therapy is eclectic as I draw on various modalities that integrate the body, mind, and spirit as well as the subconscious and conscious. I work creatively and uniquely while always being completely present and connected with my clients.
I am deeply analytical and use my insights and observations to bring the heart and mind together in a grounded way. I appreciate the humour in our sessions as we navigate our way through the complicated human experience.
I will offer you my insights and observations and you will come to know that I am very authentic and value honesty, integrity and feedback.
I am growth-oriented and motivated to help you access and value your growth and highest potential.
I will meet you where you are, nurture you along and hold the faith and vision for your highest growth and healing.

You may be struggling with big questions weighing you down, such as ‘Where do I go from here? Or ‘What is next for me in life?’
To me, that’s an exciting place full of opportunities to get to know yourself better, find out what you want and go after it.

As an experienced couples counsellor, I help you find a healthy balance between your individual needs and goals and that of your relationship to achieve Interconnectedness that works for both of you. We’ll seek to find a healthy balance of safety, adventure and shared values for your relationship.
My couples counselling will help you to validate, hear and value what each partner brings to the relationship. It involves understanding all your parts and what is needed to create the foundation that you both want for where you are now and your present-day challenges. I’ll guide you to work on how you can get to a place where you can confidently become the primary caretaker of your own heart and then give those around you the freedom to join with you in the best way they can.

Men encounter unique and specific challenges in relation to expectations to do with their roles, the expression of emotion and how to remain growth-oriented in a society that demands much from all people. I can see the weight of the world on your shoulders and the often overwhelming experience of trying to meet so many people’s different expectations of you. I am passionate about men’s counselling which comes from my own drive to be the best man I can be. To me, this includes enriching the lives of all around me through strong and connected relationships. I believe strongly that working with other men to help them move from surviving to thriving is of critical importance not only for them individually, but also for families and communities.

One of my primary therapy styles is Internal Family Systems (IFS) which provides a transformational way of beginning to understand how all the parts of you can function together, even if you often feel in conflict with yourself or don’t always understand what you do, feel or think. I firmly believe that at their own core, all these Parts have something valuable to share with you, especially the ones you don’t understand. We’ll focus on unburdening you from Parts that are holding you back or no longer serve you and lead you back to your true, authentic Self. I help to work with your Parts in everyday life so that you can deeply understand what it is to be and feel alive, and how you can live more fully and authentically while embracing all of you.

Knowing yourself is vital for transformational growth, life fulfilment and resilience. When you get to know who you are, you’ll make decisions about which path to take easier and understand why you’ve made the past decisions that you have. Knowing yourself will help you move forward with a feeling of alignment with who you know yourself to be. I take care to guide you through your personal growth in a way that is compassionate but will push you forward towards your goals. Counselling with me is a space in which you can begin the journey to knowing yourself or continue to explore in more depth what you had come to discover before seeking counselling. I aim to provide a welcoming and safe space to explore ideas and illuminate a path forward in a way authentic to you that gives you clarity and enthusiasm for the future.

Emotions are a core part of our human experience yet are often hard to understand and sit with as we are discouraged from being ‘emotional’ in our society. Learning to work with them is an essential skill for navigating life’s challenges and having connected, meaningful relationships. By connecting to your emotions, it will also allow you to experience all of life and live more fully. Together, we can work to explore how you can both feel and express all you want to, yet also do so in a way that is confident and warm-hearted to yourself and those around you.
Confidential and experienced counselling in Cottesloe
While I am the guide in your process, it is your journey and only you know what path you must take. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to get you in the direction you desire, with the confidence, resilience and skills you’ll need.
Optimally, I like to work using parts work as well Jungian concepts like the shadow, archetypes, the personal and collective unconscious and elements of dream work and active imagination which keep therapy interesting, creative and way beyond superficial strategies that don’t hold the depth of who you are.
